About Upscale Free

Upscale Free is a completely free AI-powered image upscaler that runs entirely in your web browser. Unlike other services that upload your images to remote servers, our tool processes everything locally on your device using Real-ESRGAN — the same open-source model used in many professional tools.

Why We Built This

AI-generated images from Midjourney, DALL-E, and Stable Diffusion are usually too small for printing or sharing at full resolution. Existing upscaler tools either cost $99-199 (Topaz) or require you to upload your images to remote servers and pay monthly subscriptions (Remini, Let's Enhance). We wanted something free, private, and unlimited.

How It Works

When you upload an image, Real-ESRGAN runs directly in your browser using TensorFlow.js and WebGL acceleration. The model enhances your image by 4× while preserving detail. The entire process happens on your device — your images are never sent anywhere.
